Wonder Girls was a South Korean girl group formed by JYP Entertainment, debuting on February 10, 2007. The group's initial lineup consisted of Sunye, Sohee, Hyuna, Sunmi, and Yeeun. Managed by Park Jin-young, the group quickly garnered attention for their catchy songs and energetic performances, becoming one of the leading acts of the second generation of K-Pop. Their formation was part of JYP Entertainment's strategic plan to establish a dominant presence in the burgeoning girl group market.
