Shinhwa

Shinhwa, meaning "myth" or "legend" in Korean, is a South Korean boy group that debuted on March 24, 1998. Formed by SM Entertainment, they were created as a six-member group consisting of Eric Mun, Lee Min-woo, Kim Dong-wan, Shin Hye-sung, Jun Jin, and Andy Lee. Their debut was part of SM Entertainment's strategy to create another commercially successful group following the immense popularity of H.O.T. The group's initial concept was rooted in a blend of trendy pop music and performance-oriented acts, carefully crafted to appeal to the teenage demographic that largely consumed K-pop at the time.
